This AI Disclosure explains how Translait LLC ("we," "us," or "our") uses artificial intelligence technologies within our product. We believe in transparency about the AI systems that power our Services, including our use of third-party AI providers ElevenLabs and DeepL.

What Is AI in Translait?
Translait is an AI-first product. Artificial intelligence is not an optional add-on — it is the core engine that powers everything from text translation to voice output. When you use Translait, you are interacting with AI systems in the following ways:
1.1 AI-Powered Translation
Text you submit for translation is processed by AI language models. These models analyse the input and generate a translated output in your selected target language. Translation is handled by DeepL, a leading AI translation provider.
1.2 AI-Powered Voice Synthesis
Translait can convert translated text into spoken audio using AI voice synthesis. This feature is powered by ElevenLabs, an advanced AI speech synthesis provider. The voice output you hear is generated in real time by AI — it is not a pre-recorded human voice.
1.3 AI-Generated Content Notice
All translations and voice outputs produced by Translait are AI-generated. While our AI providers are industry-leading, AI-generated content may contain errors, nuance mismatches, or cultural inaccuracies. For critical communications, we recommend human review of AI-generated translations.
AI Service Providers
Translait uses the following trusted third-party AI providers to deliver its core functionality. Each provider operates under data processing agreements with Translait LLC and maintains their own published privacy and data use policies.
2.1 ElevenLabs — Voice Synthesis
ElevenLabs powers Translait's AI voice output feature. When you request audio playback of a translation, the translated text is securely transmitted to ElevenLabs for speech synthesis and returned as audio. ElevenLabs is not involved in text translation.

2.2 DeepL — AI Translation
DeepL powers Translait's core text translation engine. Text you submit for translation is securely transmitted to DeepL's API, translated, and returned to your device. DeepL is not involved in voice synthesis.

2.3 Provider Data Processing
Both ElevenLabs and DeepL act as data processors on behalf of Translait LLC. They are contractually obligated to process data only as instructed by us and in accordance with applicable privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA.
How Your Data Is Used by AI Systems
3.1 Text Submitted for Translation
When you enter text into Translait for translation, that text is transmitted securely to DeepL's API for processing. The translated result is returned to your device. Submitted content may be temporarily retained by our systems for quality assurance and security monitoring.
3.2 Text Submitted for Voice Synthesis
When you request audio output for a translation, the translated text is transmitted securely to ElevenLabs for speech synthesis. The resulting audio is returned to your device for playback.
3.3 No AI Training on Your Content
We do not use your submitted translation content to train AI models without your explicit consent. We have data processing agreements in place with ElevenLabs and DeepL that restrict the use of your data for AI training purposes in accordance with their API terms.
3.4 Anonymized Usage Analytics
We may use aggregated and anonymized usage data (e.g., language pairs requested, feature usage counts) to improve our service. This data cannot be used to identify individual users or their specific content.
What Data Is Shared with AI Providers

We minimize data shared with third-party AI providers to only what is strictly necessary to fulfill your requests. We do not share personal account information, device identifiers, or payment data with any AI provider.
Your Controls & Rights
5.1 Opt-Out of Voice Synthesis
Voice synthesis using ElevenLabs is an optional feature within Translait. You may choose not to use the voice output feature, in which case no content is transmitted to ElevenLabs.
5.2 Data Deletion Requests
You may request deletion of your personal data at any time by visiting our data request portal or emailing info@translait.ai. For AI-processed content retained by third-party providers, we will make commercially reasonable efforts to fulfill deletion requests subject to those providers' policies.
5.3 California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is shared with third parties, the right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Translait does not sell personal information to third parties. Sharing with ElevenLabs and DeepL is solely for the purpose of fulfilling your service requests.
5.4 EEA, UK & Switzerland (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our sharing of your content with ElevenLabs and DeepL is based on contractual necessity — processing required to deliver the Services you have requested. Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) govern international data transfers where applicable.

Translait is committed to working only with AI providers that maintain high standards for data privacy and security. We encourage you to review the policies of our AI providers directly:

6.1 Changes to AI Providers
We may update or change the AI service providers we use over time to improve our Services. We will update this AI Disclosure whenever there are material changes to our AI provider relationships and will notify users through our standard policy update channels.
6.2 Security of AI-Processed Data
All data transmitted to ElevenLabs and DeepL is encrypted in transit using TLS. We maintain data processing agreements with both providers that require them to implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures.
